West Coast Contractors made an exciting
entry into the communications industry
in 1999. We are successful as a result
of our talented personnel working with
our Project Control System (PCS).
In the first phase of any project, the
Project Interface phase, we coordinate
with our clients, developing straightforward,
prioritized, plain-English schedules.
This allows us to anticipate the demands
of any given project - even addressing
time-sensitive purchase orders.
At West Coast Contractors, Pre-Construction
Planning allows us to review the project
estimate, plans and specification and
communicate with subcontractors the scope
of work and scheduling requirements. As
part of the planning process, we perform
in-house hazard analyses.
During the Problem Solving stage
of the PCS, we review and explore
construction strategies and techniques,
evaluating what tactic is best suited
to the particular assignment. After settling
on a time- and cost- effective design
strategy, we develop, in detail, the project's
schedule.
At WCC, we encourage on-site leadership
and decision-making, and to that end we
hold regular Job Site Meetings.
By reviewing scheduling, planning and
specifications for the current construction
phase on-site, we are able to remain firmly
in control of construction projects.
 We
have built multiple communication sites
including complete cell tower sites and
telecommunications head-end facilities,
and in the process, we're pleased to report
that we continually exceed our client's
goals.
